چکیده

Background: Cubitus varus is the most common angular deformity resulting from supracondylar fracture of humerus in children and adults. There are several options for correcting this deformity, but three dimensional osteotomy now a popular method operative treatment cubitus deformity. Objective current study was to evaluate clinical radiological outcome corrective osteotmy deformity.

Methods: This prospective interventional conducted department orthopaedic surgery, BSMMU, Shahbag, Dhaka January 2016 September 2020. Within period, total 40 cases age ranging 8-20 years that has inclusion criteria enrolled as sample with proper consent. All data were analyzed statistically by using SPSS-22.

Results: The results present showed significantly improved carrying angle, range motion, internal rotation angle at time final follow-up period six months or more. subjects graded excellent 16 (40%), good 18 (45%), fair 4 (10%) poor 2 (5%) patients. Excellent, considered satisfactory only result unsatisfactory outcome.

Conclusions: After analyzing it can be concluded safe technique deformity.

Clinical Outcome of Dome Osteotomy in Cubitus Varus
Cubitus varus or “gunstock” deformity, a common longterm complication of a supracondylar fracture [1]. Components of cubitus varus deformity are: a) medial angulation, b) medial rotation, c) extension of distal fragment with or without d) medial epicondyle epiphyseal injury leading to delayed growth of medial condyle and cubitus varus deformity [2]. It is generally believed that functional impa...

متن کاملOur Experience of Dome Osteotomy in Cubitus Varus Associated Triple Deformity
Tripple deformity of elbow in association with cubitus varus can be treated by dome osteotomy. In this study we assess the strength of fixation after a dome osteotomy for cubitus varus associated with triple deformity in terms of union and complications. We conclude with this study that dome osteotomy has its own advantages in correcting the deformity for cosmesis and also by not leaving the pr...

Reports of corrective procedures for cubitus varus (gunstock deformity) have emphasized the frequency of loss of position and significant complication. Modifications that have been made to the standard supracondylar osteotomy protocol include correction of the angular deformity only, without correction of rotation; an incomplete wedge osteotomy leaving the medial cortex intact by hinging the os...

These deformities are most commonly result of malunion, however avascular necrosis of trochlea or growth arrest of medial physis may also cause the deformity. Cubitus varus mostly presents as cosmetic deformity but it may also cause posterolateral instability, increased risk of secondary fractures, tardy ulna ...
